Good afternoon all!

A couple of layouts to share on this fine Thursday.

First is a layout done for the Bird is the Word 'peace' challenge:

Used: Basic Grey 'porcelain' papers, Prima flowers, Green Tara leaves, Kaisercraft rubons & bingo card,  Twiddlybitz chip gate, Tim holtz lock, Prima mask, paint, twine, doily.

Pulled out from my stash some old BG papers which i love even though they are waaay old! And look, they even have chevrons which are back in fashion!

I was encouraged by my masking attempts on a previous layout, and from some lovely comments from a couple of fave scrappers <3. The pink wasn't quite the right colour, and it didn't end up being too successful, so i covered it with a flower cluster. But it's all trial and error eh?? I do enjoy playing with paints/mists/masks, so i'll keep having a go!

The pic is baby Sophia, i still have plenty of unscrapped baby pics of her. I get in trouble from Adrian that i do too many girly layouts, but i cant help it, it suits my style! I'm trying to do more of Hudson...

Next layout is for Creative Scrappers sketch:

Used Kaisercraft 'nan's kitchen' paper & diecuts, Prima & misc flowers, Kaisercraft rubons & alphas, paint, leaves, twine.

A fairly basic layout, i found the CS sketch interesting so i had a go. I just love the cherries on the paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hoping that everyone is enjoying their Saturday!
Yesterday while Hudson was napping and Sophia at Kinder, i was able to get some scrap time. These small breaks are all i get, so i dont spend hours and hours on my layouts. i get more satisfaction in doing as much as i can in a small amount of time.

Anyways, here is a layout i have done for Bird is the Word. The challenge word is 'Spirit'.

Used Basic Grey Lauderdale paper & alphas, Prima flowers, Green tara leaves, Kaisercraft rubons, diary page, vintage music sheet, shipping tag, twine, lace stickers, paint.

The title is from a song by Eric Benet, 'Spiritual Thang'. It's a favourite of ours, i thought it was perfect to use it as a title for this challenge.

Even though the line is a few seasons old, i love the wild colours of 'Lauderdale'. I mixed some white and silver paint together and sprayed it onto the page in 2 blobs.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone, thanks for stopping by.

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Hope everyone is enjoying the last day of August. My oh my thie days are flying by! It's a lovely sunny day here in Geelong, Spring is well on its way.

I'm a bit late with this upload, i did this layout earlier last week and have been slack! Leaving it til the last minute.
It's for Kaisercraft's Saturday Sketch #3:

Used Kaisercraft's 'December 25th' Collection, Prima & Kaisercraft flowers, Kaisercraft bling star, Prima mask, paint, twine.

I'm always browsing at other blogs, admiring the masking and painting etc, but when i attempt it myself, i can never get it quite right! Anyways, there is meant to be a script mask on this layout, i dont know if you can tell or not!
I also rolled up the music sheet papers into little scrolls, i've seen this on other blog and love it! And i've cut up a holly border sticker and added it behind the flower cluster to give it a bit more depth.

Thanks for stopping by!

Friday, August 24, 2012

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday!

Just a quick post before dinner....

This layout is for Kaisercraft's Saturday Sketch #2:

Used: Kaisercraft's 'Bonjour' Collection, Prima & Kaisercraft flowers, Green Tara leaves, Kaisercraft rubons, Carolee's alphas, twine.

Love the pastels in this collection, so soft and sweet! Like my Sophia...

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday, August 19, 2012

Good morning! The beginning of another week, wow this year really is flying by.

Today i'm sharing a 'just because' layout i did back in July when i had no internet for a couple of weeks. I'm entering it into 'This One's A Winner' for this month.

Used Kaisercraft 'Little Toot' collection, Prima & misc flowers, Green Tara velvet leaves, Kaisercraft bingo card and bird stamp, I cant remember who the title was from (!), twine, buttons & staples.

This pic was taken at Melbourne Zoo last year. We go there every year for Sophia's birthday, which is quickly approaching again! Can't wait to go again this year, with Hudson being a bit older.

Did a couple of layouts over the weekend, so i'll be back later to post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Afternoon all.

I pulled out some Authentique papers that i bought ages ago for this week's sketch over at Creative Scrappers. I fell in love with them when i bought them, but didn't quite know how to use them. I must say, i'm pleased with how this layout came together!

Used Authentique 'Gathering' papers, Green Tara flower & leaves, Prima flowers, Kaiser alphas,  Twiddlybitz chip butterfly, shipping tag, twine, paint, doily.

Love the new Green tara flowers, so pretty and so affordable!

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Weekend to you all!

Last night Adrian was off watching the football with his mates, so once the kids were in bed i had some scrapping time to myself, aahhhh.

Here is my entry for Kaisercraft's Saturday Sketch #1:

Used: Kaisercraft's 'Devonshire' collection, Kaisercraft & Prima roses, Kaisercraft rubons & pearls, Green Tara leaves, twine, paperclip.

Hehe, after i complained about fussy cutting yesterday, i had another crack at it for this layout! Not great, but not too bad either...
I visited the Kaisercraft Outlet yesterday and pick up this collection for half price. Even though it's a few seasons old, i still love the colours and patterns in the papers. Considering the diecuts and letters were cheap too, i stocked up!

Thanks for stopping by!
Afternoon all!

Had a crack at the bonus sketch over at Stuck Sketches.

Used: American Crafts "Dear Lizzy" collection, Prima & misc flowers, Green Tara leaves.

This is about all the 'fussy cutting' that i can manage. I admire other ladies skill and patience with it, but i always destroy anything too complicated to cut and end up swearing and cracking it!

As i have said before, i'm so in love with all the Dear Lizzy lines that AC has released! I haven't managed to get my hands on 'neapolitan' yet. So many collections, so little $money$!! Anyways i always have fun creating with this line.

That's all for today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thursday, August 9, 2012

Yep, mojo is definitely back!

Checked out Stuck Sketches, and decided to tackle the Aug 1st sketch.

Used: Cosmo Cricket 'Earth Love' papers, Prima flowers, Maya Rd kraft envelope, Kaisercraft bingo card and alpha stickers, Green Tara leaves.

Had these papers in my stash for ages. I love the earthy tones. It feels good when i use up some of my hoarded stuff! I'm shocking, when i see a bargain i just have to have it. My heart beats faster and i get hot flushes, especially when i see a PRIMA sale! Lol, i drive Adrian crazy when the postman knocks on the door he rolls his eyes and i say 'but they were half price!', stick them in my stash and don't use it for months...

Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday, August 8, 2012

Hello everyone (anyone?!),

Yes i've been away from blogland again! Internet issues, loss of 'mojo' contributed to my absence.
I really dislike my little digi camera, so i wasn't taking any pics with it for a couple of months. Instead i have fallen in love with instagram! BUT we dont have a printer at home so i've been trying to find somewhere to print my little square photos! Any suggestions? Kmart, Officeworks dont print from iphones.

So i went on a little shopping trip to my LSS, Chandon Craft, and they had 30% off all Prima! Aaaargh, you know i love my Prima stuff so i grabbed all that my budget would allow, and it has kickstarted my mojo again!

I was inspired by this month's sketch over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. Simple but very versatile! This site is my fave online shop, so i'm always there stalking the clearance section and the blog!

Used: MME hip-hooray Collection, Prima & misc flowers, Green Tara leaves, Jenni Bowlin ticket, AC thickers, twine, shipping tag, paper clip.

Little Man's 1st birthday earlier this year. The pics were pretty horrible, i think when i get my tax back this year i'm gonna buy myself an SLR camera! I'm sick of crappy photos, especially when i look at all the beautiful pics some of my favourite scrappers take.

I will be back later with more layouts to share.

Cheers and thanks for stopping by my humble little blog!

Friday, June 29, 2012

Hi all. Last day of the month so posting my last challenge entry.

I was inspired by the sketch over at Creative Scrappers,  Sketch #214:

Used Kaisercraft 'Velvet Ensemble' collection, Prima flowers, DA chipboard swirl.

I just love this pic of Adrian and Sophia. Daddy and his little girl! As Adrian is a musician, primarily a singer, i would just love if both my kids get his genetics. You see, while i'm a great music lover, i'm tone deaf, no talent whatsoever! Sophia already loves to sing and dance, which i know most kids do, she's very interested in it so we will keep encouraging her and see where it goes.

Have a great weekend everybody.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thursday, June 28, 2012

Hello everyone, hope you all enjoyed your Thursday.
Just a quick post with an entry for 'White With 1'. The criteria was white+light blue+flags.

I've had this paper in my stash since 2003, when i began hoarding supplies for my little addiction. I was diiging through for something blue and i pulled this out... perfect! I couldn't even tell you the manufacturer, i think it came in a multi pack. The banner flags are made from some lace stickers i found at  Kmart, of course Prima and misc flowers, and a Kaiser crochet doily.

I cant believe how much my Hudson has grown since this pic was taken. He's walking and gabbling on with baby talk. They grow way too fast and it makes me clucky all over again, which is very dangerous!

Thanks for stopping by!

Monday, June 25, 2012

Good afternoon everyone! Hope your Monday isn't dragging on too much...

I've had 2 blissful hours to myself today, so i cracked on with some scrapping. I'm having a go at 2 of the Kaisercraft Saturday Sketches.

First is sketch #2:

(Sorry the image is a bit orangy, the light was fading when i took the picture!)
Used an old Kaiser paper line here! Love those robots and the hexagon pattern in the flags, funny how scrapbook 'fashion' comes back around full circle!

The pic of Hudson is at a cool new playcentre that has opened near us. There are beautiful murals on the walls and different themed rooms. They have a pirate ship, a haunted house, a fairy garden, a wild west saloon! Its just gorgeous, but can get crowded, which keeps me away from it more than i'd like to be!

Next is for Sketch #4:

Yerp, another Christmas layout, but this sketch was perfect because of the photo size! I love the annual Santa photos but they're so awkward to scrap!

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday, June 23, 2012

Sorry for another long absence from the blogging world! Our computer was on the fritz for a while...

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I've been busy scrapping so there is a few photos in this post for some challenges i have entered. I wont post everything i've done this month today, it would take forever!

So the first layout is my entry for this month's Once Upon A Sketch challenge, which is all about 'birthdays'.

Used Prima 'Flights of Fancy' collection.

This pic is Sophia on her 3rd birthday, i enjoyed using the balloons she got from here Nana as a photo prop. And i love the beautiful tree in full flower in the background! I'm not sure what sort of tree it is....

Next is my entry for 'Scrap the Girls'. The challenge was to use photos from being 'outside'.

Used some old Bo Bunny papers, Prima flowers, Dusty Attic chip butterfly, Jenni Bowlin ticket, thickers.

My final layout is for Bird is the Word, using the word 'Colour/s'.

Used Pink Paislee 'Pop Fashion' papers, Prima & misc flowers, Jenni Bowlin ticket, AC thickers.

So, thanks for sticking out this post, i'll be back in the next few days with some more layouts!

Thanks for stopping by.

Thursday, May 31, 2012

Just getting in with a final comp entry before the end of the month... 2 hours to spare phewf!!

This is for Kraft it Up May theme which is 'what Easter means...'

Used up some scraps here... Prima flowers, Green Tara leaves, Kaisercraft birdcage and cloud stamps (cant see very well!), thickers, vintage swap card.

It's all about the Easter Egg Hunt on Easter morning for my Sophia! To see the delight on her face makes it just as fun for us...

Happy scrapping!

Thanks for stopping by.

Monday, May 28, 2012

Afternoon ladies!
Super chilly day here in Geelong. Brrrrrr....!
Sharing with you today a layout i have done for May's sketch over a Once Upon A Sketch.
May is all about our mums for Mother's Day!

Used MME 'Lime Twist' papers, Prima flowers, Green Tara leaves, Scrap FX chippie, thickers.
Love this pic of the babes, Hudson's head is so little against my giant milk filled boobies!! LOL. He's only a week old here. Its not a great photo, but the only one i have of us him being that little! Love love those pink chevrons... gorgeous range of papers i got for a bargain in a Ballarat LSS.

Anyways, cheers for stopping by!

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

Hello all those out in blog land!

Just posting my layout entry for May's BAP over at Prima.

Used Prima's 'Nature's Garden' range.
OMG i'm so in love with Prima's latest release of papers! Love the flowers too, although there werent many large ones in this release...

Pics are from my brother's wedding in Feb 2010.

Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday, May 5, 2012

I'm back!
Hmm, not sure if anyone visits my little blog, but i'll explain my absence anyway.
So i became addicted to pinterest... and then decided i needed to spend more of my time in looking after myself. Scrapbooking was the ONLY time i had to myself. I've been putting off my fitness for too long. No more hiding behind the 'I'm a new mum', as Hudson turned 1 in April. So i've been exercising regularly, and i've cut down the sugar and refined carb intake, so no more chocolate, biccies, cake and rubbish i was consuming on a daily basis.
I started caring about my appearance again. I did my hair, my nails, a smidge of make up here and there. Bought some nicer clothes. Started socialising at some 'night spots' i used to frequent not so long ago! (Lol, i'm not crazy partying like i used too, just actually turned up to friend's birthday's, and a hens night...)

So, all this took me away from scrapbooking, and honestly i needed the break because now i've started up again i love it!

So here's a layout i did for BITW challenge, the word was 'future'.

A picture of Adrian and i before the babes came along.

Used Basic Grey Euphoria papers, Prima and Kaiser flowers, thickers, diary page, vintage swap card, twine, homemade mist.

I'll be back in the next few days with some layouts i've done just for myself, not for challenges. (i'm easing off on entering challenges).

Thanks for stopping by! xx

Monday, February 27, 2012

I think these 2 layout will be my last challenge entries for the month! I think i'm all scrapped out for now!

This layout is my entry for "Once Upon A Sketch". The topic was a favourite holiday/vacation.

Used Kaiser 'Pina Colada' papers, Dusty Attic chipboard, butterfly & button from my stash, home made spray mist & paint.

The pic is the view from our hotel room when we stayed at Hamilton Island in March 2010. That was our last holiday.... i think we're due for another! Dad is thinking of having his 50th birthday bash in Byron Bay, so we'll have to wait til next Feb.

This layout is my entry for "Stuck! Sketches" sketch number 2 for the month.

Used Kaiser 'Bonjour' collection, Prima & Kaiser flowers, ribbon.

My sister and i had a scrap session yesterday. She bought some of the 'bonjour' collection, so i just had to pinch some.
The pics are from my brother's wedding in Feb 2010. Can't believe i've taken this long to scrap them! It was such a lovely day, Elisha looked stunning. Now they have little baby Olive, time just passes so quickly!

I'll have some more layouts to post in the next few days which i've entered into various challenges this month. Til then, ciao and thanks for stopping by!

Saturday, February 25, 2012

Hello everyone!
Trying to keep up with all the challenges due at the end of the month...

Here is a layout for 'Scrap the Girls'. Criteria is Turquoise (yummy colour!), chipboard & 'love'.

Used Autumn Leaves ppaper, cardboard packaging, vintage music sheet, prima flowers, maya road chipboard (which i painted & stamped), lace & twine.

The pic is my sister Madeleine and Sophia on our recent visit to Horsham, where she has just relocated. She's an awesome aunty, Soph loves her and her new Border Collie puppy Max. Every time we call Maddy for a chat, Soph asks if she can talk to Max. So cute, lol.

Next up is for 'Bird is the Word' challenge, using the word 'heart'.

Used Creative Imaginations ppaper, Vintage music sheet & swap card, Prima flowers, Tim Holtz key, Twiddleybitz chipboard.

I'm so happy how this layout turned out! I always find it hard doing boy layouts with making them too flowery.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends. It's stinking hot here in Geelong, bring on tonight's storm!

Thanks for stopping by.

Saturday, February 18, 2012

Hope everyone's enjoying their Sunday afternoon.

Friday night saw the arrival of my beautiful niece, 'Olive Harlow'.
She's tiny and gorgeous, 7ish pounds of baby girl. Tinier than my big boofa 10 pounder babies!
Elisha my sis in law is doing great, and my brother is smitten. It's so lovely watching him beam with pride.
I'm sure Olive will be subject of scrapping in the near future!

A few layouts to share with you today.
First is for 'White With 1'; lemon was the colour and we had to use 3 photos.

Used pink paislee 'Queen Bee' collection, Prima flowers, vintage swap card and my own home made spray mist!

Next layout is for 'Scrap Jacked'.

I jacked Lisa's layout.
Used October Afternoon Cherry Hill collection, Prima flowers, twine.

Finally, this is my entry for Prima's BAP this month:
Used Prima 'printery' range (my LSS has 30% off all its prima at the moment!). Luuurve these gorge papers!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody, i'm going back to the hospital to cuddle my baby niece some more...
Cheers!

Sunday, February 12, 2012

He he I'm back again!

I did this layout for Kraft it Up a week ago, but i've been slack with my posting...

The theme was 'love' and a little pink on the layout. I love this pic of Sophia, just being her beautiful, happy self!
Used October Afternoon papers and journal spots, AC thickers, Prima & Kaiser flowers, Tim Holtz key.

Also, I'm very excited to announce that i won 2 challenges last month! WOOT WOOT! I can't believe it, i'm so happy! I only enter for the fun and inspiration, but it is so nice to get recognition of my work. I've always been a bit shy about it and scrapping has been very private for me, none of my friends or family (with the exception of my sister who has recently jumped on board, see her here) are into it.
Anyways, i won Scrap the Boys with this layout:
So totally unexpected, there were so many awesome entries!

I also won the room challenge at Scrap Therapy with this layout:

It fills me with courage to keep going, to try new techniques and work on my craft which i love so much!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hi everyone, had a big day of scrapping yesterday!

First layout is my entry for Once Upon a Sketch Feb 1st sketch:

This layout was so fun to do! We had to scrap about the men in our lives for Valentine's Day. I had to scrap this pic, Adrian is such a proud and loving daddy to both of his children, but he has a special bond with his boy, just as i do with Sophia.
Used Kaisercraft On the Move collection.

Here is the sketch we had to use:

I did flip it to suit my photo.

Next up is my layout for Handmade By Suzanne's Feb Sketch:

Still love those Dear Lizzy papers, i have a big stash of them even though they're a couple of seasons old now... Cant wait to get my hands on her new line!!! Also Prima flowers in this one.

This last layout oringinally was for 'Bird is the Word', but unfortunately i missed the deadline! I love it so much though i'm entering it into 'This One's a Winner', a new challenge blog that i have come across.

Bubba Hudson only an hour or so old! There is some journalling inside the kraft envelope. Lol, i started writing about the day he was born, and i realised i should probably tone it down a bit because he is a boy, and i'm sure he doesnt want to know about all the gory details when he is older! Sophia however has a long and detailed account of her birth stashed away!
Used Making Memories Garden Party papers, Maya Rd envelope, doily and Prima flowers.

Have a good day everyone, i might be back later with my scrap the girls layout...

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday, February 5, 2012

February means new challenges! Trying not to leave them to the last week this time...

The first challenge that inspired me was over at Stuck Sketches:

And here is my layout:

Sorry for the bodgy pic~
Used Kaiser Tea at Elsie's collection, Prima & Maya Rd flowers, Kaiser & Maya Rd chipboard, Heidi Grace pin.
I've been re doing a lot of Sophia's baby photos lately. I've never been happy with my early scrapping layouts and even the photos themselves needed some editing!
Sophia is about 6 months old here. Cutie with her bottom 2 teeth! She had the bottom and top 2 teeth at 4 months! And not a peep out of her, they just appeared one day.
Hudson however has been grisly with his teeth poor bubba. His top 4 and bottom 4 teeth all came through at 8 months. My gf's mum told me- which made me giggle, that baby boys whinge because of the whole 'male's cant stand pain' thing! I know Adrian tends to get the man-flu about 3 times a year, and sooks whenever he has a headache, or a stubbed toe...

Anyways, be back later with another layout.
Thanks for stopping by!

Monday, January 30, 2012

Back again with a challenge layout, this time for 'Stuck Sketches'.

This is the Jan 15th sketch:

And my take:

The patt. paper is Basic Grey 'Cupcake', Prima flowers, Maya Rd envie, Pink Paislee pleated ribbon.
Found the sweet baby quote, thought it went well the pics i took of Hudson at 3 months. He's nearly 10 months now! It goes too quickly.

Anyways, i've been stalking all the manufacturers for the new CHA releases.
Faves so far:
PRIMA everything!
American Crafts new Dear Lizzy line, ummmm so cute i wanna spew!
Basic Grey PP&J, lurve lurve the colours.
MME everything! Especially Miss Caroline collection.

Honestly I'm pretty much loving everything coming out, i find myself humming "I wanna be a billionare, so freakin' baaaaaad...."!!!!!
What have been your favourites so far?

Cheers, and thanks for stopping by!
Busy trying to complete as many layouts as i can for the Jan deadline! Lol, i have half the day left and heaps to do, might have miss out on few...

I decided to have a go at 'Scrap Jacked' this month. I jacked Andrea's layout:

Yes, another christmas layout! There's always so many to scrap each year, and i have a rather large stash of christmas papers....
Used Crate Paper 'North Pole' papers, Prima flowers.

Also entered into Prima's Build-A-Page:

Used the 'Londonerry' paper range, it's too cute!

And lastly, my entry for 'Handmade by Suzanne' Jan sketch challenge:

Used Kaiser "Loire Valley" papers, Prima flowers, Kaiser flourish.
This is miss Sophia, even though she looks like a boy with her blue singlet on. I had heaps of blue baby stuff when she was born because i was convinced i was having a boy! Lol. They were taken at Arthur River in Tasmania, a beautiful, memorable holiday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday, January 28, 2012

Happy Sunday everyone! Today is my beautiful sis in law's baby shower. We're all very excited about the arrival of the new bubs.

This layout is my entry for White With 1, theme was 'white & lime & buttons'. I enjoyed this challenge and happy with the result!

Sorry for the fuzzy pic. Just couldn't get it right!
Used Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage collection, Prima & Kaiser flowers, and the flags were made from Zva packaging.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hello all. I've been very slack with my scrapping/blogging lately. I've been re-reading the 'Clan of the Cave Bear' series again (i first read it as a 14 year old!), the last book in the series came out last year and loved the books so much i wanted to familiarise myself with them again...

i did this entry for 'Scrap the Girls' jan comp, which was monochromatic themed.

Love the Bubblegum Hills range of Kaisercraft papers, so i went with orange. Also used lots of Prima, luuurve that breton vine, it's to die for! The chip birdcage is also Kaiser.

Seriously, who could resist that smile? She knows how to turn on the charm, especially when she wants something!

I'll be back tomorrow with my WW1 layout, the photos i took today were rubbish, although i managed to salvage this one somewhat... ugh i'm working on my photography skills, slowly but surely...

Thanks for stopping by!

Monday, January 16, 2012

The lovely summer weather has returned. A little too soon perhaps, i'm off to the Australian Open tomorrow and its going to be 36 degrees! Ugh. Cant wait to see some great tennis though.

I did some cleaning this morning (hooray!), so i rewarded myself with a bit of scrap time...

I've been tackling lots of boy layouts lately!
This layout is for Scrap the Boys, the theme being 'summer holiday past times'.
Since bubba Hudson is experiencing his first summer, i didnt have many pics to choose from.

Used Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety Collection, Zva & Prima flowers.
We're outside on a picnic rug in this pic. It was back in Nov, he had just started crawling. I know its not quite summer, but i got lots of cute pics of the kids on this beautiful day. We havn't had too many 'beach' days yet, so Hudson is yet to have a play in the sand. I'm not really a beach girl anymore (post children!), Geelong Surfcoast beaches are way too crowded this time of year...

Off to watch some tennis on the telly.
Cheers, thanks for stopping by!

Friday, January 13, 2012

Aaah Saturday. 12.30 and i'm still in my pj's...

Kiddies were happy watching a dvd so did some scrapping.
This was my entry for Anna's Craft Cupboard jan sketch:

Trying to do more 'boy' layouts! I cant resist using flowers though, my pages feel naked without them. Why cant boys have flowers??

Hudson's little face is so cute here. He's whinging, had enough of mama taking pics, about 4 months old.  Even then he didn't like to sit still for very long.
I've just started mix feeding him. The only time he keeps still for a feed is his 4am one, when he's sleepy.  The little fidget bum cannot keep still even for milky milk! I love breast feeding my babies, so its hard to let go. I'm happy to get up for the 4am feed while i'm not working, i'm not ready to let go yet! Bubs is just so energetic, on the go and perhaps easily distracted. I wonder what kind of little boy he'll be! He's pretty cluey, just like Sophia was and is, but she's much more relaxed, and more cuddley! She'll happily sit on my lap for hugs. She's starting to understand the concept of languages (thanks to Dora the Explorer), and has decided she wants to learn French! She even knows how to change the setting on her DS so the game speaks to her in french. Geez, she's 3!

Anyways, time to sort out lunch for my hungry kiddies (Adrian included...)

Thanks for stopping by!

Thursday, January 12, 2012

So i saw the movie yesterday, and it was AWESOME!
Wasn't disappointed at all.

This layout is for Scrap Therapy's letter challenge, which is 'P'.

The pics are of beautiful Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays. Adrian and i went March 2010. One of those holidays you never forget.
I always struggle to scrap holiday pics. Patterned paper can sometimes take away from the scenic photos.  So i decided to omit patterned paper and use white as a base. I'm loving what some ladies do with misting and paints, so i had a go at it myself! I dont really buy mists, i prefer to spend my cash on flowers... so i raided Sophia's paint box. I flicked blue and black paint with a paint brush and loved the result. Made me feel very arty, lol! Of course added Prima flowers, twine and chipboard.
This was one of those very satisfying layouts, which is rare for me. I tend to force myself to walk away from my layouts before i ruin them by adding too much!

Have you seen all the Prima CHA sneek peaks yet? I'm so excited, all those flowers are to die for. Hope they dont take too long to ship to Aus...

Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

Back again...

Got impatient waiting for the sun to shine through the window so i could take a pic of my next layout, so sorry for the dodgy quality! I only have a cheapo point and shoot, it gets me by. I'm dreaming of the day i can get a digital SLR!
Again its an entry for Mandy's room challenge at scrap therapy (see previous post).

Used Kaisercraft Tis the Season Collection (got the papers for 50c from the Kaiser outlet!). I love the all the browns and golds in this collection, which for me is rare coz i dont usually like brown! Prima flowers of course. This DH and Sophia at Carols in the Park xmas eve 2010. Before little boofa Hudson came along! She had her daddy all to herself...

Here is the room i was inspired by:

Love this decor, thought the damask red rug matched the patterns in the papers i used.

Ummm, so excited. Tomorrow DH and i are off to see 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' at movies, while Nanny babysits. I loved loved loved the book, and the movie looks unreal. I'm peeing my pants. We're big movie goers. Here is the trailer, i have a really good feeling i wont be disappointed!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KBPru-Pu5Q

There's some crazy awesome movies coming out this year. My 2 most anticipated are 'The Dark Knight Rises' (next batman movie, have loved Christopher Nolan's direction!) and 'Prometheus' (an Alien origins movie... maybe?).
I'm a big nerd for Superhero and Sci-Fi movies. Cannot wait!

Anyways, off to do some blog hopping.
Cheerio, thanks for stopping by!
